Since When Is It OK to STEAL?

I'm sure that most if not all of y'all have seen and read about the FB and Yahoo groups that have been 'outed' regarding their book 'sharing' activities this week.  I am appalled that so many people who claim to be author's FRIENDS are in these groups.  People, who author's have gotten to know, talked to online and some even met and hung out with in person at conventions.  PEOPLE, who these authors truly thought they could call FRIENDS.  It's bad enough that "No-Name Pirates" are OUT THERE, all over the web", but to find out that your own friends are stealing from you just like these "No-Name Pirates" has got to be the ultimate knife in the back.

I've read LOTS of FB posts this week about this and what truly amazes me are the excuses that I see.  Here are a few:

1.  I have never shared books, I had no idea I was in that group...I didn't join...

***EXCUSE ME???  Even if I don't actively join a group and someone else adds me to a group, FB is kind enough to have a little box that pops up in the upper left corner of your screen that asks if you want to either join.  You either click LEAVE or you click OKAY.  Hmmm, I'm not a rocket scientist, but I'm pretty sure if I click ok, then I'm agreeing to join that group.  Don't y'all agree???

2.  THEN, if these PEOPLE, are 'outed' with screen shots of themselves either asking for books or talking about sharing books with people, then well, it's JUST books.  THEY bought them, THEY can share with whoever they want and if someone else wants to share with THEM, then it's their right.

***I'M SORRY?!??!!!  For all of these PEOPLE to be READERS, can none of them interpret the LEGALISE at the beginning of EVERY DAMN E-BOOK?  And if these PEOPLE are not the brightest bulbs in the pack, I'm sure they can decipher one single line....*PURCHASE OF THIS E-BOOK ALLOWS YOU TO ONLY ONE LEGAL COPY FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL READING ON YOUR OWN PERSONAL COMPUTER OR DEVICE*   Oh...but considering that these are a bunch of low-life THIEVES, I guess they ignore this and are sure it doesn't pertain to THEM.

3.  The KICKER, that I saw was where these THIEVES started whining and crying that the authors were bullying them and picking on them.

*****ARE YOU (excuse my language) FUCKING KIDDING ME??????*****
You steal something from someone else, then you make up tons of excuses that you really didn't, then when you are slammed in the face and excuses won't work, you turn it around and blame who you stole from?  O. M. F. G.

Let me just share the Merriam-Webster Dictionary Definition for the word STEAL:

1- to take (something that does not belong to you) in a way that is wrong or illegal
2- to take (something that you are not supposed to have) without asking for permission
3- to wrongly take and use (another person's idea, words, etc.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even idiots should be able to understand that no matter how they color this, it is STEALING.

So, all of you pathetic, pond scum sucking maggots, that think you are so smart/cool/getting away with this....just remember...WHATEVER word you call it, it's still STEALING, and WHATEVER word you use to describe yourself, you are still a THIEF.  Whether or not you are ever caught, that's probably neither here nor there.  BUT...one day, you will answer for it, and one day, KARMA, bitch that she is, will get her due!

To all of my amazing author friends and authors that I don't even know yet, my heart truly goes out to you to have to fight this battle that seems never ending.

Please know that I am here to help you fight this battle in anyway that I can!

Love you all! ♥♥♥
