Hope your weekend has been going great so far! I just glanced at the clock and it's almost time for me to get depressed because it'll be Sunday evening...then Sunday night, then that Bitch, MONDAY, will be here. UGH!
Oh well...I just need to enjoy the moment, right?
I hope all of you have checked out the Rockin' Reads Blog Hop. Lots of different blogs with some great giveaways! It runs through Sep 30th, so you still have time to hop around.
I'm planning on trying to get involved in more Hops to introduce my blog to more people. Y'all know...the more people I get that actually see/read my blog then the more people I have to 'pimp' my little evil heart out about the authors and books that I love! ;)
Before I get to My Weekend Wish, I HAVE to tell you about a book released Friday that was kickass! I'm sure all of you have figured out that I'm a HUGE fan of Heather Rainier. I've read every single one of her books and love them all. Of course, I have my favorites, and my very very VERY favorite is Divine Grace, Book 1 of Heather's Divine Creek Ranch Series.
Heather's newest addition to her Divine Creek Ranch Series, BUNNY AND THE BEAST made it into my top 3 of all of her books. When I started this blog, I decided NOT to make it a 'review blog'. There are so many of those out there and I felt like I'd just fall in the cracks. I wanted to do something a little different on my book blog. That's why y'all hardly ever see me write a review.
BUT...I have to write just a small one on BUNNY AND THE BEAST.
BLURB:
Hard-working, strong, and sassy, Bunny Carrigan
desires a simple life, far away from the complications of the big city, posh
houses, and materialism. She makes her own rules and has no time for pushy men
in fancy suits or playing games.
Joseph Hazelle enjoys taking control and has very
set ideas about what the ideal submissive looks and acts like. In fact, his
ideas are so set they might as well be concrete. Vibrant and full of life,
Bunny challenges Joseph’s preconceived notions and she’s determined that if she
submits at all, it’s going to be on her own terms.
Accustomed to being the instructor, Joseph
discovers that Bunny has claimed his lonely heart and has a thing or two to
teach him. All he has to do is educate her about his world and convince her
that she does indeed “do” submission. What could go wrong?
Evil Tammy's Review:
As always, Heather Rainier produced an outstanding book. And honestly, there was never a doubt in my mind that Bunny and the Beast would be anything else. I always look forward to her new books. I feel like I'm going to visit my close friends every time I pick up a Divine Creek Ranch Series book. Ms. Rainier is brilliantly talented in making her readers feel that way. This time was no different. Page one had me right back in The Dancing Pony in Divine, Texas with all of my friends that I had missed so much!
Heather Rainier is not a name you automatically think of when you list BDSM authors. There have been bits and pieces throughout the series, but no single book that focused on dominance and submission. Heather created this beauty in a way that thoroughly explained some of the BDSM aspects while keeping it entertaining and fun.
Ms. Rainier gives you:
Joseph - Dom with EXACT expectations of a Subbie of his own
and
Bunny - independent, smartass, "I don't do submission", talk like a sailor cutie
Could there be two more different personalities for a Dom/Sub couple?
I promise you'll be fanning yourself from some of the blazing scenes, wanting to smack the crap out of a few people, wiping your tears from some of the heartbreak, and then laughing your ass off at something else.
Ms. Heather Rainier's writing is PURE GOLD. I absolutely adored Bunny and fell in love with Joseph. I highly recommend Bunny and the Beast as well as ALL of the Divine Creek Ranch Series!
Evil Tammy Gives 5 EVIL HEARTS
So...Evil Tammy's Weekend Wish...
I thought a while on what I wanted to post. Lots of different things were flying around in this 'evil' head but I decided to go with a serious subject. (I know...y'all had no idea that I could even BE serious, didcha?) LOL
Here we go...
I WISH that I didn't smoke. Yup. I said it. Wait, wait...before y'all say, "Evil Tammy, you can stop smoking anytime you choose to"...Yes...I know I can. Let me rephrase my Wish.
I WISH that I didn't WANT to smoke and LIKE to smoke. See...that's a difference. Sadly, I just really enjoy smoking. Yes, I know it's not the PC thing to do these days, but oh well.
If I could figure out how to shift my 'Smoking WANT into Exercising WANT' then now, THAT would be something to write about, eh?
I NEED to exercise, but I don't wanna. I KNOW that I NEED to exercise and I still don't wanna.
I guess I could start exercising and reward myself with a cigarette afterwards? LOL!
I know...NOT how I should be thinking.
Oh well...that's my Weekend Wish....and of course...it's up to me if I ever make it come true.
If any of y'all have any suggestions for me to change my WANT to Smoke into something else...please let me know.
As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope y'all enjoyed your visit!
***screeeeechhhhh...wait a minute...***
So....if y'all stuck with me and made it this far...*LOL*...I'm going to do a FLASH GIVEAWAY!

Hi Tammy! I have all of her books. Love her, but if you figure out the smoking thing let me know.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela! I'm the one needing advice...lol...I have none to give! Thanks for stopping by. Please let anyone you know who doesn't have these two books to stop by and enter.
DeleteLoved the review! I have it on my iPad waiting patiently for me. I love Heather's books, my fave is Divine Charity.
ReplyDeleteAs for breaking the smoke habit, I know where you are coming from. I am in the same boat. The most important step is to want to stop, the rest comes easy. Good luck!
Thank you!! I'm just not quite at the 'want to stop' part yet. *sigh* Hopefully I'll get there!
DeleteDon't beat me but I've only read Divine Grace. I got side tracked and then well you know. So I will make a pledge that by the end of this week I will start on The Gentle Giant. As for your smoking, I was in the same boat as you. I loved my smokes. They were my alone stress relief time. Then one day I decided I needed the breast redux and the surgeon said stop smoking or no surgery. So I call the state's quit line and my doc sent in the script for Welbruitn and 3 years later I'm still smoke free. Good luck sweetie. It will come when you are ready. <3
ReplyDeleteO. M. G. Trish! I can't believe you haven't read them!!! They are all sooooo good!
DeleteThanks for the good luck on quitting smoking. I just have to get to that want to quit before I even try.
Hey Tammy, I am sorry to say but I have never read any of Heather Rainier's books at all,.... Are they really that great??? Am I missing something??
ReplyDeleteYes! This is a wonderful set of books. As I wait for the next book, I find myself rereading earlier books.
DeleteMadeleine! For shame! YES...ALL of Heather's books are outstanding! You have GOT to read them!
DeleteGreat review! I've never smoked but family members have. They were able to quit when they were ready, but never during stressful times. I haven't had a chance to get Bunny and the Beast. Good news..I'm in Texas. Bad news...it's for family funeral. Haven't had time to open my kindle. My email is kbushrow@gmail.com. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for stopping in and good luck in the contest. I've 'stopped' smoking a few times over the years, but 2 were because I got pregnant eons ago...I just have to 'want it'...and I'm not quite there yet.
DeleteSorry for unknown. Thought I was connected through Facebook.
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I gotcha!

ReplyDeleteHi Tammy I'm Catherine. I would love to read Bunny and the Beast! I have all of Heather Rainier's books as I absolutely love them! As for the quitting smoking I've tried an failed several times over the years. It's been tough but I'm going to try again soon for the holidays. Never give up trying. It's 90% mental 10% physical. Wish you luck. cattorinese@yahoo.com. Messed up earlier deleting posts sorry!
ReplyDeleteHI Catherine! Thanks for stopping by. And thanks for the wishes on quitting smoking. It's too bad it's not more physical. I'm sure it'd be easier. No problem on deleting the posts. Good Luck with Mr. Random when he chooses shortly! :)
